A theatrical production starring professional dancers from across New England and the Maritimes. We will follow a time line of how the oldest dance has changed in both its native land and in our own.
Join us for an evening that will be part documentary, part theater, and all fun! The dancers involved have spent a great deal of time working on their authenticity: costumes, music, moves, and mood. From the streets of Cairo, to the dances of Little Egypt. From the Casbah to the Boardwalk....and Broadway. From the streets of Istanbul and the cafes of Spain, to the cafes, nightclubs and stages of America. How did we get here, where have we been----and where shall we go now?
Doors open at 7:30. General seating, but reservations are recommended.
